Mandeville Airfield Fly/Drive

Full day tour: departs Dunedin 09.00hrs

Travel inland to the Old Mandeville Airfield (180km) and visit the Croydon Aircraft Company. Croydon manufacture classic de Havilland aircraft including such icons as the Tiger Moth, Fox Moth, Puss Moth, Leopard Moth and Chipmunk for a world wide market.

After a glass of wine and light lunch at the Moth Restaurant enjoy a nostalgic flight to Taieri Airfield, Dunedin in a 1936 Dragon Fly (bi-plane). One of only two left flying in the world.

Climb on board and buckle up... a one hour Dragon Fly scenic flight will take you over Balclutha township, along the coastline to Dunedin, flying over the Otago Peninsula and touching down at the Taieri Airdrome to be met by Top Hat Limousines. Drive over Three Mile Hill to Dunedin for a short tour of the city via Baldwin Street (the steepest street in the world 1:2.86) en route to the cruise ship.
