Glenfalloch Garden:
Enjoy a scenic drive along Portobello Road to capture the beauty and fragrance of the rhododendrons, azaleas, fuchsias and magnolias displays at Glenfalloch Woodland Garden.
Albatross Centre:
Stop at the world’s only mainland breeding colony of the Royal Northern Albatross and see these magnificent birds close up at the Richdale Observatory. Tour Fort Taiaroa, established in 1885 in response to the perceived threat of invasion from Tsarist Russia. Multiple tunnels beneath the albatross colony house the world’s only fully restored Armstrong Disappearing Gun. Enjoy a leisurely lunch break in this unique environment.
Larnach Castle:
Unique in New Zealand is Larnach Castle. Built in 1871 and set in 14 hectares of native gardens and woodlands Larnach Castle showcases a unique collection of New Zealand and overseas antiques that combine with superb Italian craftsmanship to culminate in a unique experience. Spectacular 360 degree views of Dunedin City are seen from the Castles’s tower.
